About CCEN

About the Clinical Cytometry Education Network.

Clinical cytometry is used around the world to inform patient care. That work depends on highly skilled people who understand the principles of flow cytometry and also have practical knowledge of its clinical applications. Clinical flow cytometry is a sophisticated technology that keeps advancing and is hard to automate or even standardize. As a result, cytometrists in both developed and developing countries have a real need for ongoing clinical cytometry education.

Thanks to a generous grant from the Wallace H. Coulter Foundation (WHCF), the International Clinical Cytometry Society (ICCS) and the European Society for Clinical Cell Analysis (ESCCA) have partnered with the WHCF to form the Clinical Cytometry Education Network. This collaboration works to create educational resources for the international clinical cytometry community, host practical clinical cytometry courses in developed and developing countries, build an international network of clinical cytometry organizations, and train young professionals through the Visitor Training Program.
